I was out by Peter O’Knight airport and I saw this little gem. Aviation buffs will know what a significant aircraft this is. For those that don’t, it is a deHavilland DHC-2 Beaver, arguably the best bush plane in the world. You can put floats, ski’s or just leave the wheels on. It has a short take off and landing roll, and the oil filler tube is in the cockpit, so you can refill the oil inflight.
The last production year of this magnificent aircraft was 1967. This particular airframe was built in 1960, and you can see it is as shiny as the day it left the factory. Over 1650 Beavers were made, and many fly on to this day.

This is a piece of classic flotsam. Just a flower in a common hedge plant (which is a lousy use for this shrub). Not bad for an old 2.1 megapixel camera, eh?
